How L’Oréal redefined its document management practices

L’Oréal’s main goal has always been to create a digital document base that brings together all binding documents, knowledge and know-how.

To best support this goal, L’Oréal created the MILOR+ project. The main challenge was to find a reliable and sustainable digital document base with an improved user experience that is 100% compliant, and that integrates with their information system. For their document management, L’Oréal knew they wanted to use a simple and intuitive system to increase efficiency and optimize processes around content and documents. At the same time, this transformation towards a modern system had to be SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and Cloud-based.

The quality of previous work and AmeXio’s extensive expertise in Nuxeo solutions and technology led to a continued collaboration and partnership with AmeXio Group.



After carefully comparing the systems that are available in the market, Nuxeo, part of the Hyland technology, was the winning solution. It meets L’Oréal’s requirements and the need for an improved, efficient and simple-to-use digital document management system. Besides, Nexeo is cloud-based, low-code and it can easily be integrated into the existing information system. The Nuxeo solution offers them a reliable and sustainable document base that preserves and enhances the contribution of employees.

For L’Oréal, AmeXio Group was already a partner in the Enterprise Content Management domain.

As integrator, AmeXio Group is L’Oréal’s main partner in this project and is responsible for maintaining the MILOR+ application in operational conditions.


he project has been a success for L’Oréal. The environment now contains more than 5 million documents, 6,000 users in 100 different countries and it is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

70,000 documents are being imported each month without any problems and there are about 90,000 consultations each day. These results show the importance of a smooth document management process and a high-quality and efficient document management system.
